Family & General Dentistry in Chicago

At Batchelor Dental, general dentistry means more than checkups and cleanings. We want every visit, routine or complex, to feel unhurried and comfortable for all of our Chicago patients. We built our practice on traditional family dental care, the kind where the same dentist sees you and your family year after year, and pair that with modern preventive and cosmetic treatments. Our team takes the time to answer your questions and explain your options, so you always know what’s happening with your care and why.

That same commitment extends to more complex treatments, too. Dr. Batchelor performs root canal therapy himself for patients across Chicago. Dr. Batchelor is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Endodontics at Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry, where he trains other dentists in the procedure. This is the kind of expertise that most dental practices don’t have.

I found Dr. Batchelor when I was pregnant and experiencing severe toothaches. He went above and beyond to alleviate the pain, seeing me immediately and accommodating me in my pregnancy. Because we opted not to do x-rays, he worked out a schedule to “fix” my much-needed root canals in stages, waiting until I had the baby to finish the job. That was almost 2 years ago and I continue to see Dr. Batchelor. His fees are honest and modest. He and his staff work closely with my insurance company to make sure that I am getting the most benefits possible. I now bring everyone in my family to see him.
